November 11, 2010 - Los Angeles, CA - monterey media is pleased to announce the acquisition of "Looking for Palladin," from Pine Hill Productions and Tousi Productions in association with Maya Cine Digital, S.A. and Full Moon Angel Cine Independiente, for all rights, all media in the United States and Canada. Written and directed by Andrzej Krakowski, Looking for Palladin stars EMMY winner and 3 Time Golden Globe nominee Ben Gazzara, David Moscow, two time Academy Award nominee Talia Shire, Pedro Armendariz Jr., Angelica Aragon and Vincent Pastore

"The film is absorbing and offbeat; a gem! It is always a treat to see Ben Gazzara in a movie"-Jeffrey Lyons, KNBC & Movies and More Radio

Arrogant Hollywood talent agent, Josh Ross (David Moscow), is sent to Guatemala to find Jack Palladin (Ben Gazzara). Although they'd never met, the search is emotionally complicated as the long-time retired star was once married to Josh's late mother. The young agent's contempt for the 'old' actor mirrors his comedic distaste for the local community, whose help he desperately needs to find him. What Josh hopes will be a quick and lucrative deal turns into a soul-searching journey. The retired star and his estranged stepson must confront the past they had forsaken.

"Looking for Palladin was a breath of fresh air. It deserves to be seen by the masses. And, hopefully, it will. It centers on real people and their introspective on the importance and appreciation of relationships and family"-FilmThreat

Brought to the attention of monterey media President Scott Mansfield by the producer's representative T.C. Rice, "Looking for Palladin" was crowned Winner of Best Feature Film and Best Director at Queens International Film Festival, Winner of Best Feature Film and Best Ensemble Cast at Orlando Hispanic Film Festival, and Winner of Best Production Company at the Napa/Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival. The film was also screened as an Official Selection at Cine World Film Festival, Maine International Film Festival, and the Chicago Latino International Film Festival. "Looking for Palladin" will continue playing select theatrical markets following earlier openings in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and others, prior to DVD release in Spring 2011
